JL Audio
offers two series of marine speaker systems:
M and MX. The MX-Series handily outperforms
conventional marine speaker systems and
is sized to work as a direct replacement
for them. The M-Series products are maximum-performance,
no-holds-barred speaker systems with higher
power handling, a larger tweeter and greater
output capability. |
|
Three sizes of M-Series
Cockpit Coaxial are available. The 6.5-inch
M650-CCX is ideal for tighter spaces. For
an extra sonic edge and a healthy output
boost, consider our unique 7.7-inch diameter
M-Series coaxial speaker systems. For uncompromising
mid-bass fidelity and even greater output
still, the 8.8-inch coaxials are the largest
diameter drivers in the line and really
pack a punch. |
|
For an extra sonic edge, consider our
unique 7.7-inch diameter speaker systems
that provide 20% more sound radiating area
than typical 6.5-inch designs and also benefit
from oversized 1.25-inch diameter woofer
voice coils (for additional power handling). |
|
For uncompromising mid-bass fidelity
and the greatest output, the 8.8-inch coaxials
are the largest diameter drivers in the
line and really pack a punch.
Cockpit coaxial systems feature coaxially
mounted woofers and tweeters. The woofer
in the Cockpit systems is optimized for
infinite-baffle operation, without a dedicated
enclosure behind it. |

Do you really need a subwoofer in a
boat? The short answer is: "Absolutely!".
In fact, you need it more than in any other
audio environment |
|
|
|
A running powerboat produces a huge
amount of low frequency noise, which is
impossible for small full-range speakers
to overcome. Adding a subwoofer not only
gives you better low-frequency output to
overcome that noise, but it also makes your
main speakers sound cleaner and louder by
not forcing them to do extra work in the
low-frequency department. |
